Charity Entries
The 2021 Sodbury Slog is proud to support great causes, and as previous years is partnering with a number of charities to offer a number of guaranteed entries to the event. Each charity only has a handful of entries, but offer the organisation an important fundraising opportunity. For more information on how to take up one of these places, please contact the relevant charity.
Jessie May
Jessie May is a charity that provides hospice at home care for terminally ill children in Bristol and the surrounding area. The charity was set up by the parents of Jessica May Purrington, a little girl who died at home aged 4 months, surrounded by her family and her nurses. Jessie May has a team of dedicated nurses who provide care to children and families during a child’s life and after their death. Cystic Fibrosis Trust
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a life unlimited for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis. Our mission is to create a world where being born with CF no longer means a lifelong burden of care and an early death, when everyone living with the condition will be able to look forward to a long, healthy life. Forest of Avon Trust
The Forest of Avon Trust is an independent local charity passionate about the benefits of trees and woodlands, and is committed to delivering these to people across Bristol and Avon. Funded solely by sponsorship, donations, and grants, they organise projects and activities bringing the benefits of trees to people and deliver a more sustainable future. Race T-Shirts
Listening to a growing community voice around reducing waste, this year we have decided to make t-shirts an optional extra. This means those who feel they have enough race t-shirts or do not want to contribute to a growing collection of unwanted race shirts, can choose to not have a shirt and reduce the number produced. Those who would like a shirt need to order one from our online store which will close for orders at midnight on Sunday 12th September. No shirts will be able to be ordered after this date. As well as t-shirts we are also selling other Sodbury Slog merchandise, namely hoodies, beanies, and buffs, all branded with the event logo. All items ordered will be collated and produced for delivery direct to the customer prior to the event in November.
